During the past days, I have received some contacts describing problems during the installation of the A.A.A.R. application from the Pentaho marketplace. After some investigations, the issue seems to be connected to the sourceforge links that have recently changed its format.
To solve the problem, some of you asked me how to manually install A.A.A.R., and I have added a more generic tutorial on how to manually install a Sparkl application. The tutorial has been added to the collection of the Spark tutorials. I hope that you find it useful.
Thank to the requests of some A.A.A.R. users, a brand new report showing the documents stored in every Alfresco site, has been developed. The report is interactive in the way you see below.
Below a preview of the report for a test case.

The released patch for MySql installations is a minor change that could have impact in some cases when you apply A.A.A.R. v.1.3 to a big audit repository on Alfresco, with a relevant history (more than two years).
Where to download the patch
To download the patch you can simply access to the download page on Google Code.
Content of the installation package
The installation package is simply a zip file containing:
- The ‘AAAR_Kettle_patch.sql’ script.
- The ‘readme.txt’ file containing the link to this post.
Howto install the patch
The patch is simply a sql script you have to execute on the AAAR_Kettle database to take effect. To reach that goal you can execute the command below.
mysql –uroot –p<password> < “<patch folder>AAAR_Kettle_patch.sql”
Now you can execute again the A.A.A.R. in the way you did before.
